Introduction

The Panasonic Scholarship Program was established in 1998 in commemoration of the company’s 80th anniversary as a way for the company to express its appreciation to society.

Its aim is to provides cholarship opportunities to privately financed students from Asian countries who wish to pursue a master’s course in Japan, to offer financial assistance to foster highly educated experts who can contribute to the development of their countries in the 21st century, and to promote mutual friendship between their home countries and Japan.
Eligibility

* Applicants must be citizens of Malaysia.
* 25 years old and below.
* Applicants must obtain at least CGPA 3.0 and above.
* Applicants must major in any one of the SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY disciplines. Note: This excludes medical science, pharmacology and dentistry.
* Applicants must have completed 16 years of school education or have been accepted as eligible for enrollment at the targeted graduate schools. However, applicants must have completed their bachelor degrees no more than 4 years prior to the date of their arrival inJapan.
* Applicants must be enrolled as research students at universities in Japan from April in the first year and must also be able to take master’s courses by April of following year at the latest.
* Applicants must be medically fit and must be strongly motivated to study in Japan.
* Applicants must obtain a certain level for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

Introduction

The Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE), in cooperation with the GE Foundation (USA), invites applications for the 2009/10 GE Foundation Scholars-Leaders Program open to qualified undergraduates who gain admission into Malaysian institutions of higher learning.

The GE Foundation established the scholarship fund as part of its philanthropic activity to encourage and support outstanding talents in countries where General Electric has offices and factories. Applications from ALL ethnic groups are highly encouraged.

Eligibility

* Candidates accepted by a Malaysian institute of higher learning towards a bachelors degree as a first year student for the academic year 2009 will be considered for the award.
* This award is for candidates who will not be receiving any financial assistance from other organizations.
* Must be a Malaysian citizen majoring in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics at local university. The award is limited to students accepted to Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak & Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
* 3 awards will be available for the year 2009/10
* The selection criteria is based on academic result, financial need and leadership potential demonstrated by extra-curricular activities, community and social work.

Value of Scholarship

The scholarship amount is USD 2,000 renewable up to 3 years, not including the first year of the degree program, based on certification of a continuing outstanding academic performance report received from the Dean of the university where enrolled.

MEASAT Scholarship for Space Studies 2010

Introduction

MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd (MEASAT) invites qualified Malaysians to apply for a MEASAT Scholarship 2010 to pursue Masters Degree programme in Space Studies or Space Management at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France. The scholarship has the support of Boeing Satellite Systems aims at supporting the development of future technology leaders for the Malaysia’s satellite industry.
Eligibility

The eligibility for this scholarship is as follows :

* Malaysian citizens aged 35 and below.
* Possesses strong command of verbal and written English
* Obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.6 or above in the field of Economics/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Law/Business Administration/ Electrical/ Communications Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering or Physics.

The Intel Penang Design Center (PDC), established in 1992, is one of the largest and most advanced Intel Design and Development centers in the Asia Pacific region. Intel PDC designs Intel® Core™2 processors, Intel® Atom™ processors, and Advanced IA Platform Chipsets.

Our Design Engineers architect and create innovative IP and features for the next platform system-on-a-chip solutions on 45nm (nanometer) and 32nm process technology. Intel PDC grants R&D scholarships every year to outstanding students from local universities throughout the country.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Intel Penang Design Center Scholarship, an applicant must:

* Be a Malaysian citizen
* Be a full-time student in a local university studying in the fields of Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering
* Not hold any other scholarship from other companies, organizations, or Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA)**

Have one or more of the following:

* SPM with A1 for mathematics and all science subjects
* STPM with grade A for a minimum of three subjects
* Matriculation with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
* For university undergraduates, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required

**Note: Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional Malaysia (PTPTN) loan holders are allowed to apply.
Scholarship Package

Each scholarship package includes:

* Tuition fee of RM10,000 per year for undergraduate students
* Tuition fee of RM13,000 per year for postgraduate students
* Partnership with a Senior Design Engineer to mentor and guide your studies and career planning
* Industrial training opportunities at Intel

The Yayasan Tun Suffian or, in English, the Tun Suffian Foundation, was established by the execution of a Trust Deed and an Agreement pursuant to the Trust Deed on 11 June 2002 during a simple ceremony in the Chambers of the then Chief Justice Yang Amat Ariff Tun Mohamed Dzaiddin who graciously agreed to be its Chairman.

* Arrangements have already been made for the authorities at Cambridge to forward all applications to Puan Alwizah Al-Yafii Ahmad Kamal, the Honorary Secretary of the Foundation at Suite 2-4, Level 2, Tower Block, Menara Milenium, Jalan Damanlela, Pusat Bandar Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

* Should have a grade point average (G.P.A.) at least 2.64 on a 4.0 scale, 2.80 on a 4. 3 scale, 2.91 on a 4.5 scale or grades/marks/score of 80% or higher from the previous attended institution
* If the grade is difficult to convert to percentage, official explanatory documents from the attended university are required.

CIFP Scholarship 2010

Introduction

International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) is offering scholarships to outstanding candidates to pursue the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) Full-time Programme commencing 7 June 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.

As the only global university dedicated to Islamic Finance, INCEIF aims to develop graduates with a global outlook who are well-versed in Islamic finance and Shariah principles. The CIFP programme is structured to combine academic rigour with industry insights through interactions with practitioners.
Field of Study

Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP)
Eligibility

Candidates for the above scholarship should possess :

* competent in English (TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS level 6)
* Bachelor degree with a minimum of Class two Upper Honours or a CGPA of 3.00 in any field of study.
* Graduates from Sciences, Engineering, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Law and IT disciplines are encouraged to apply. All accepted CIFP full-time programme candidates will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

How To Apply

Application can be made inline at INCIEF portal (http://www.inceif.org/study/cifp/admissions_fees/apply_now.php). The following documents and payment need to be submitted and paid online:

* Certified and notarised academic certificate and transcript in English.
* Evidence of English proficiency.
* A copy of IC for Malaysians and passport for international applicants (all pages).
* Two passport-sized photos.
* A processing fee of RM50 (Malaysian)/USD20 (international).

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, living allowance and airfare between Kuala Lumpur and home country for international students. Selections will be based upon academic excellence, working experience and potential contribution to the Islamic financial services industry.
Deadline

The deadline for the CIFP full-time programme application to be considered for the scholarship is 11 April 2010 (international applicants) and 25 April 2010 (Malaysian applicants).

if you cant get any of the above, look for HOPE programme and KUOK foundation. They offer subsidy for needy students, about 30% perhaps. Atleast another options for students who failed to get a schorlarship.
